The Last Week of Vacation...

Classes start once again on Monday, June 15th. Another 10 months of homework, projects, quizzes and just a whole lot of work. But of course, I also get to meet my friends and other affiliates. I am pretty excited and scared at the same time. I mean, who wouldn't anyway? It's sure going to be another tough year for me especially my classmates this year are the smart ones. Competition in my section is surely pretty high too.

My last week of vacation hadn't been that much fun as the first two months, just after classes ended. All I did all week was use the internet, create new posts on this blog and read some of my books. I also did surf the net using my phone just to use Twitter and of course, I also went to Pampanga to visit my grandma, who happens to stay there.

I honestly think that due to my being excited and scared simultaneously about the start of classes makes me feel just a little bit overboard. LOL! I actually even wore my uniform just the other day to check if I looked okay with my new hairstyle. (Obviously, I don't) Hahaha!

I'll just keep you all posted on Monday. I wish everything would turn out well. (sigh) I am just so freakin' nervous! LOL! =))

Love,Love, Love Fashion!

WOW! I am really addicted to fashion related shows. Yesterday, I watched The Rachel Zoe project and Tim Gunn's Guide to Style twice! I absolutely love the clothes in those shows! The designer clothes from the New York Fashion Week were seen in the Rachel Zoe project. I was so thrilled! I can say that I really love all the designers in the show but my all-time favorites are Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta and Diane von Furstenberg. I am now actually looking at Diane's collections in her website. Her clothes are simply amazing and all are flattering. No wonder why teenage girls and gays love to wear her clothes! I would also love to wear her clothes (who doesn't?!) but unfortunately, I am too young and short for it. LOL!

I observed that Diane's collections had bold prints. It does makes me stare at her clothes with aw and just take my breath away. I am actually a fan of bold and colorful prints. Well, that depends whether the colors look good and are mixed well. :D

Michael Kors's works are chic and elegant. He is more to simple but flattering colors in his designs. I just LOVE it! :)

Oscar de la Renta's designs are all gorgeous and unlike most designers, he does his own sketches. According to Rachel Zoe, Oscar de la Renta's creations represents the real American couture. Well, that is so true! Just ravishing! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE <3

There are also a lot of gorgeous designer clothes in the hit series, Gossip Girl. I watch this show every Tuesday at exactly 8 p.m. I absolutely love the clothes worn by Leighton Meester a.k.a Blair Waldorf. I even saw some of her clothes by Marc Jacobs. Here's a snapshot:


But of course, she also wore some clothes Milly, Valentino, Alice and Olivia, Diane Von Furstenberg and many more. She is so lucky to wear those fabulous clothes! I wish I was her! LOL! :D Anyway, here are some other snapshots:

I do think I have a lot of exposure in the fashion world. My uncle, Leo Almeria who is already a very successful Interior designer, studied fashion before interior designing. He does have great style and class. He and his sister (my aunt) usually buys one type of clothing in different colors which, I have done just the other day. I bought stylish blouses in various colors, with an actual total of 7 blouses from Rico Salandanan in Trinoma. Come to think of it, I am so sure that I got those genes from them. LOL! :D

I don't care what other people say about me loving fashion. That is just the way I am. I believe what Rachel Zoe said that style is the best way to show who you are. That is so true!

American Idol Season 8

I think it has been a few weeks since they announced the winner of American Idol Season 8 which was Kris Allen. I must admit that I am not really a Kris Allen fan. I would still prefer Adam Lambert to be the winner. He has such an AMAZING voice but personally, I think that the cause of Adam's defeat is about the issue of his sexuality. A lot of people say that he is gay and pictures of Adam's kiss with another man has been all around the internet.

I am not saying that Kris Allen does not have an amazing voice. It is just that I am more in favor of Adam Lambert being the winner. I mean, I even think that the judges are more in favor of Adam Lambert! Other than Adam, I also like fourth runner up, Allison Iraheta. She has a powerful, rocker voice. Kara even said that her personality is shown in her performances. Well, that is so true!

I also believe that this is the best season yet. At least, that's what I think...

I really hope that there would be an upcoming album of Adam Lambert and Kris Allen. I am sure that I would really buy the album of Adam. So I keep my fingers crossed for that album! LOL :D

I think that the best episode was the finale and the episode before that. LOL! I am mincing words already! Hahaha! Their costumes were great and they really gave their best to their performances during the finale. Well, I hope that next season would be as great as this one or even better. Good luck to both Adam and Kris in their careers! :)

Summer 2009

Summer is here! We could once again feel the humid air and the warm rays of the Sun. It is everyone's time to relax and most especially, have fun. 2 months of no school and work! I believe that every student in the world right now is gleeful for not having anything to do such as homework, pop quizzes, projects etc. this summer. Well, I am just one of them.

Let me tell you some of the things I did this summer. Since summer is not yet over, there are still A LOT to do. First of is that my family and I went to Tacloban, Leyte last April 7, 2009. The flight was at 4:30 a.m. so we needed to go to the airport 2 hours early. We went to the new airport which, was NAIA 3. Our stay there at Tacloban was really enjoyable! We went to the beach like almost everyday and my sisters got sunburn at the parts of their skin which was more exposed to the Sun. Well, that was because of their swimsuits. It was REALLY painful in their part. But of course, currently, their skin is peeling off already. So, it's going to be okay for them. We also had a picnic with our other relatives which turned out so well. The best part of the picnic was when we got to taste the awesomely delicious cupcakes from the pastry store called "Icing and Creams". We also went to Caluwayan, Samar. This was during my dad's birthday. We had a great feast thanks to my Auntie Baby Sustento and family. Pictures are attached at the bottom for all of you to see:

You can see in this picture are rocks. These are really rocks because I believe that this place has been underwater a very long time ago.

This is the swimming pool which I enjoyed together with my siblings, cousins and other relatives.

I believe that this is the best picture ever taken! This part of the resort is found at the back part of the lot. Behind the small hut are mangroves which, are also indeed, very beautiful to see!

Well, the vacation in Tacloban, Leyte was almost over because we only had 2 days left. April 17, 2009 came and we really needed to leave for Manila. Our flight was at 4:30 p.m. but the plane arrived at the airport late so we were a little bit delayed. Here are some pictures when we were about to leave for Manila:

Well, I really had a great time in Leyte! It was awesome and I consider this as one of the best of all the summers I've had in my twelve years of existence. :)

----> Meaning: It is our choice if we want to love. Fear is love's opposite because many do fear to love. Why is that? Maybe because they are afraid to get hurt or feel hurt.

But according to Bertrand Russel and Earl Russel:

"To fear love is to fear life, and those who fear life are already three parts dead."

24 hours Of Chaos

Chaos. When we hear this word, what usually pops in our minds is all about confusion, entropy, disorder and the like. But did you ever wonder what would it be like when we all experience 24 hours of chaos? I just did. Maybe, if ever we experience a whole day of chaos, only a few races would be existing. Or maybe, many would be hurt and a lot would be out of their minds or for it to be simpler, mentally deranged.

Probably, you would be wondering why am I thinking about this. Well, the answer is that I don't really know. It just popped out in my head. But I believe that there is a possibility that this may happen. I know that I sound negative and all, but take a look on what is happening in this world at present! Corruption in the government, injustices, dishonesty and such are all very common!

In my opinion, chaos is not meant for negative things. I think that if chaos happens, we could be more productive, responsible and aware of our wrong doings. I believe that these are some of the advantages that chaos could give us. Well, that is in my opinion....

Just Questions...

Why is it so hard to feel happy? I know that it doesn’t really make sense or something, but why? It is easy to laugh because of jokes and all but, still why? Take consideration of the feeling of what is inside not what is seen on the outside. I am sure that you, yourself, had felt this before. It’s just that I don’t feel contented and there is something inside of me which I still think is incomplete. I have to admit that I don’t know what is that missing piece and currently, I am still thinking about it.

Sentences, phrases or just words can be sometimes or most of time manipulative in the sense that, for example, they may seem to express happiness but it is really expressing the feeling of being hurt or depressed. Why is it hard to feel happy? I believe that our everyday encounter with different people prevents us from feeling happy. Some people makes us feel ecstatic but some really ruins our day . Those people that ruin our day prevents us from being happy. Do you think that the world will become a better place for us to live in if we wipe out all those who ruin our day? I don’t think so. Why? This is just because, if we wipe out those who ruin our day, no one will be living in our world today. Simple isn’t? This just means that we, ourselves, ruin our day. I know that it is a common observation but for me, it is a very big deal.

I am still thinking of what will be my answer to “Why is it so hard to feel happy?” I guess that it’s your own choice if you want to be happy or not. Maybe… For me, it’s just so hard. I frequently have mood swings but why??? I can’t still think of an answer. Try to read between the lines of this post, and maybe you will be able to understand what I am really trying to tell you. Everyone has to go deep and think…including myself…

Who am I?

Hello World! My name is Frances Mikhaela Lozano. I am a twelve year-old freshman in the University of Santo Tomas High School which is the Pontifical and Royal University of the Philippines and it is said to be the Oldest University in Asia. (Yes, In am too proud of my school. :D)

All I can say is that I am responsible, trust-worthy and approachable. I am reliable and I call myself independent. I am the type of person you don't want to deal with because, since all of us have bad sides, I have too. I frequently have mood swings, I really HATE rejection and I want all things to be done fast. I also easily get annoyed, well, that depends. I have to admit that I always procrastinate and last but not the least, I really love the color BLUE.

Who am I? What am I? What's my purpose? I do believe that everyone asks these questions a lot! But if I am going to answer these questions, I can't. Why? First, I don't have much experience since I have been only living in this world for like, 12 years and secondly, I haven't encountered the other challenges and problems, which people usually face at present.
